The Updated Neighbourhood Plan is expected to be presented at a Community Open Event in October. As part of these consulations, there will be a questionnaire to determine whether the Council should progress with purchase of land for a new cemetery. As reported here in earlier months, it has now been established that a suitable site is available, and there needs to be clear guidance from the Village Community as to whether we should proceed. Full details of the proposal will be presented via HEDS, The Village Website and The Facebook Community. You wll have an opportunity to look at the details of the proposal and to make your views known.
The “Kissing Gate” is due to be repaired and painted.
A Parish Planter has been purchased and thanks to the Garden Group we should see the benefits later in the summer. The siting of the planter has been discussed and will be confirmed once in place.
An “Honours Board” will be purchased and sited in the Village Hall to recognise the recipients of the Village Nomination for the Bassetlaw Achievers Award.
