✅ Council Tax Update: Bassetlaw District Council has approved a 2.99% increase in council tax.
🚶 Village Walkabout: Thank you to Cllr Mike Robertson for joining us on a recent walk around the village. We look forward to continued positive developments for our community.
📚 Supporting Professional Development: We continue to proudly support our Clerk in his ongoing professional development.
💻 New Parish Council Website: Our refreshed website is now live, providing updates on everything Parish Council related — please take a look!
👀 Community Safety Reminder: Please remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to 101.
EVNP The Everton Village Neighbourhood Plan update first draft is hoped to be ready for discussion for the May meeting.
🚗 Considerate Parking: Please park thoughtfully around the village and ensure pavements remain clear for pedestrians, pushchairs, and mobility users.
🧹 Village Litter Pick – 29 March 2026: Save the date! More details on how to get involved will be shared soon.
⚒️ Proposed New Cemetery Land: Borehole investigations are currently underway as part of ongoing site assessments.

Early Notice: The May Meeting which incorprates the Everton Village Meeting will be on May 11th.

Mattersey Road Temporary Closure
Friday 20th March 9000-1500.
Everton and Scaftworth War Memorial. Mattersey Road Cemetery.
Rededication Service Tuesday 28th April 1:30pm
Two years ago funding was sourced from Bassetlaw District Council Heritage fund to restore the original decorative features on the war memorial. Over time these had be lost but now, due to voluntary effort they are restored. The names of the fallen men
are inscribed on our fine grade two listed war memorial.
As a mark of respect and recognition for those 18 local men from Everton and Scaftworth parishes who fell in the first and second world wars and with the restoration work completed the Friends of Everton Cemetery Group, of Everton Parish Council have organised a rededication service. Led by Reverend Becky Hancock, Everton Primary School Council will lay crosses in memory of those fallen
local heroes.
After the short service around the war memorial there will be a general invitation to go back to the Sun Inn for a hot drink and a chat.
You are all welcome to attend and support this community event.
