– What does your Parish Council do? In much of its work the Council acts as a representative body for the residents of the parish, mainly liaising with Notts County Council on matters such as highway maintenance including public rights of way. Similarly with Bassetlaw District Council on matters such as planning and street cleansing. It is the point of contact on general community matters, and with other local bodies including the police.
The Council utilises HEDS, local notice boards and its dedicated website to keep in touch and share local information. The Parish Council also initiates projects which will enhance the lives of residents. (For more details see menu item Meet The Councillors above)
The Parish Council has begun the process of updating the Neighbourhood Plan. The underlying vision that will lie at the core of the plan has been presented for consultation and discussion and has been generally well-received. The next stage is to identify and designate local green spaces (LGS) and we need as much input as possible so that we identify all the green spaces we wish to preserve. A start has been made and can be found on the NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN page. Your comments will help shape the future. Contact theclerk@evertonparishcouncil.org.uk
EVERTON RESPECT

The Parish Council has prepared a proposal to reduce the speed limit in Everton and Harwell. The presentation is available here. Please have a look at it and make your views known when the petition is available.

Website Updates: Every month, following a council meeting, some of the pages on this site are updated. Please see the asterisked items on the menu. The website will soon be upgraded to comply with regulations for council websites nationally, which will include more inclusive access and a “mobile phone friendly” format. This will involve changes to the site details and contacts. More information to follow.
